come see the buzz!

We love, absolutely LOVE this time of year! The lights, the sounds, the decorations – everything about Christmas just lights us up and we hope it does for you too! This time of year is so wonderful, not just because of the gifts from Santa, but also because we all get to come together and celebrate the ending of another year and spend some much needed family time!

No doubt there will be lots of holiday activities to do around town (and at home) and we’ve made a list of our favourite Christmas activities! How many have you already done? Which will you do this week or weekend?

Christmas Activity #1: Decorate Your Christmas Tree

The best way to start the holiday season is to get a Christmas tree! Whether you go all out with a REAL tree or an artificial one, get a tree, take out those ornaments and have a decorating party! We recommend a great Christmas music playlist and yummy snacks while doing so. This will definitely get everyone in the holiday spirit!

Christmas Activity #2: Christmas Market

Another great way to get into the holiday mood is to visit a Christmas market around town! There will be plenty to choose from, no doubt! Shop for gifts, have a tasty treat and spend some time bringing your little one out and about!

Christmas Activity #3: See Santa Claus

Commemorate the year with your annual picture with Santa Claus! He will definitely be around town, possibly in malls, and it’s a wonderful experience for your young one, too! Remember to wear your best Christmas outfit and SMILE!

Christmas Activity #4: Write to Santa

If you can’t find Santa to get your picture with him, why not write to him instead? You can help your little one and ask them what they would like to ask Santa for. Turn this letter-writing project into a creative one and get out the arts and crafts box to decorate the letter. A fun afternoon done!

Christmas Activity #5: Make A Gingerbread House (or Christmas Cookies)

Inspire the little chef in your child and make something festive and yummy! There are plenty of DIY gingerbread house kits for sale and putting one together is loads of fun! Alternatively, you can also make yummy Christmas cookies using cookie cutters shaped like stars, candy canes, reindeer and snowmen! Decorate them with sweet icing and sprinkles and enjoy with some warm milk. Yum!
