Gratitude Week!

Come see the buzz!

At Busy Bee, our curriculum is always full of surprises! We have incorporated special weeks into our regular schedule to keep it fun and interesting for our kids!

For Gratitude Week, we had an entire week dedicated to this very important topic: the idea of giving thanks for what we have.

This week we talked about the meaning of gratitude and encouraged kids to remember to be thankful when they receive something. In class, for instance, we are always highlighting the idea of saying “please” and “thank you” and are pleasantly pleased when they start saying those words automatically. It’s great to see that!

Spreading this attitude of gratitude is always a great idea and continuing this wonderful habit at home is highly encouraged. Be sure to remind your children to be thankful for what they have. Prompt them when they wish to receive something by asking them to say “please” and when they get it, remind them to say “thank you.”

Another important way to teach children about gratitude is to be the example for them. When they observe their parents saying “please” and “thank you,” this creates a huge impact on their actions as well. They will start to understand that being grateful is a way of life and children most definitely learn from you first and foremost.

Being thankful can even be as simple as recognizing the small details that make life great! You can point out pretty flowers while on a walk with your little one and talk about how great it looks. You can also chat about funny jokes you heard throughout the day and be thankful for funny moments! The possibilities are endless!

Let’s all exemplify an attitude of gratitude for our children!

Come and see the buzz! Only at Busy Bee!

Have a BEE-utiful day!
